MAMMALS & BIRDS

This is the most difficult for me to communicate, because I am torn between the heartbreaking horror of the reality of farming in the 21st century on the one hand, and the necessity to make some points very clear, in the hope that an increasing number of people will come to understand, where their food comes from.

Anytime you buy an mammal/bird protein product, "The Absent Referent" is absent. It is not beef, lamb, pork...it is not something; it is someone; someone's mother, sister, brother, baby...part of mammals/birds family relations have been broken to sell the carcasses to you.

It is not food; it is murder! Every time you buy this, you partake in the killing of someone. Because, if there is no demand, there will be no supply. By buying these bits of once living, breathing, sentient beings, you encourage more of that same Holocaust.

Pigs can live up to +20 years of age in freedom; within factory farming they are born into a gestation area, fed up and sent for slaughtering, transported in horrid conditions, at the age of 5-6 months. The sow will then be inseminated again, and a new cycle begins, until she, after few years, is worn out and slaughtered. She spends her entire life producing babies, only to have them removed again and again.

Cows can live more than 20 years in freedom; in the factory farming industry the calves are slaughtered after 7-8 months. The cow takes nine months to produce a calf. And then, off the baby goes, and her heart is broken, again...

Sheep have an equal lifespan in freedom of around 20 years. Lambs are slaughtered after 4 months...year after year, the Ewe will experience the joy of Motherhood, only to have the baby taken away, again and again...until her heart is broken, as well.

The dairy industry is absolutely sickening: after nine months a calf is born. If it is a male, he will be sent to the slaughterhouse straight away, breaking the mother's heart. If it is a female, she will be kept separate and fed lousy substitutes for her mother to be milked by a machine; next stop the dairy factory. There goes, again, the precious bond between mother and child!

Chickens can live for +15 years in freedom. In the factory farming industry they are sent to the slaughterhouse after 40 days to produce poultry.

If the purpose is to produce eggs, male chicks will be ground alive the day they hatch to end up as fodder.

These are just some examples from the factory farming industry. You can find many more online from those brave people doing undercover filming to tell the truth. It is not without personal sacrifices for them, and we should be grateful for their bravery and determination.

Factory farming is an absolutely heartbreaking, horrible Holocaust for mammals and birds.

Seek out further information to educate yourself about the reality of, what kind of lives we, as a species, have created for sweet, innocent and lovely living, feeling, sentient beings.

There is no "Presumption of Innocence". Please, I beg of you, educate your self, and when you have come to see the reality, just stop partaking in this.
